The Rutherford’s Take on BK’s 50th in Positano

This month the Rutherford’s took on Positano for Bruce Keebaugh’s epic 50th birthday celebrations. And AS IS the Big Group and BK way, the parties that followed were absolutely LARGER THAN LIFE! Don’t worry about having just one incredible party, try four!

On arrival guests were welcomed with a party held at the stunning Hotel Ill San Pietro. Sauntering down the cliff tops, they arrived at a charming lawn area and were greeted with a cocktail and the classic sounds of an Italian Band. They were then seated at Italian themed tables with checked cloths and layers of heavenly tomatoes and basil. DJ Nick had the task of being MC for the occasion and had a little too much fun with his music choices during introductions. What came next? A jaw dropping fireworks display THAT’S WHAT! It was a Positano sky full of lights that got backed up by a night of non-stop dancing and a boat ride across to nightclub Music on the Rocks.

Round two came around in a flash, and it was time to suit up and head to Villa San Giacomo for a black tie gala dinner. Guests had to “schlep” it up the hill to the picturesque villa where they were treated to cocktails in the garden and then a seat at lush long-tables perched on the villa’s terrace. And WOW, the view overlooked the whole of Positano. DJ Nick then took things poolside, kicking off the party alongside Austin on sax. It was IN this pool that BK of course ended up after he was lifted onto guest’s shoulders and thrown in at the end of the night (with most following not long after)!

The next day celebrations continued with a white party at Conca Del Sogno where guests caught speedboats down the Amalfi Coast to Conca. With an Aperol Spritz on arrival and a beautiful lunch in the restaurant to follow it didn’t seem that life could get any better. The rest of the day was spent dancing and singing at the beach club overlooking the ocean, and finished with a special remix of Tiny Dancer just for BK.

For one final hoorah guests wound down with a trip via speedboat to Fontelina where they enjoyed time on the rocks swimming, tanning and drinking more Aperol Spritz! They then moved onto lunch in the restaurant upstairs, followed up with a spot of designer shopping in the town of Capri, and then finished with finger food at La Piazzetta before they were whisked back to Positano.
